IGMCRI Notified Recruitment for Professor & Officer posts 2014

Indira Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute invited applications for recruitment to the post of Professor, Associate Professor (Medical / Non‐Medical), Assistant Professor (Medical / Non‐Medical), Casualty Medical Officer and General Duty Medical Officer. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 31 January 2014. IGMCRI was established in 2010, by the Government of Puducherry.

Age Limit

• Professor: Candidate age should not more than 60 years as on 31 January 2014.
• Associate Professor (Medical / Non‐Medical): Candidate age should not more than 58 years as on 31 January 2014.
• Assistant Professor (Medical / Non‐Medical): Candidate age should not more than 50 years as on 31 January 2014.
• Casualty Medical Officer: Candidate age should not more than 40 years as on 31 January 2014.
• General Duty Medical Officer: Candidate age should not more than 32 years as on 31 January 2014. 

Educational Qualification

• Professor: As per the “Minimum qualification for teacher in Medical Institution Regulation 1998” with amendments of Medical Council of India.
• Associate Professor (Medical / Non‐Medical): As per the “Minimum qualification for teacher in Medical Institution Regulation 1998” with amendments of Medical Council of India.
• Assistant Professor (Medical / Non‐Medical): As per the “Minimum qualification for teacher in Medical Institution Regulation 1998” with amendments of Medical Council of India.
• Casualty Medical Officer: A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 and Registered with MCI or State Medical Council.
• General Duty Medical Officer: A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 and Registered with MCI or State Medical Council.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 200/- for SC/ST Candidates) in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favor of “Perunthalaivar Kamaraj Medical College Society” payable at Puducherry.

Pay Scale

• Professor: Rs.37400-67000 + Grade Pay of Rs.10000.
• Associate Professor (Medical / Non‐Medical): Rs.37400-67000 + Grade Pay of Rs.8700.
• Assistant Professor (Medical / Non‐Medical): Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs.6600.
• Casualty Medical Officer: Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs.6600.
• General Duty Medical Officer: Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs.5400.

Selection process

Candidate will be selected on the basis of Interview.
