IGNOU will offer PG Diploma in Sustainability Science

Indira Gandhi National Open University will start a new online course PG Diploma in Sustainability Science from July 2011. The course has been introduced by Chair of Sustainable Development (CSD) to address the issue of sustainability of our socio-cultural system.

The course can be taken up by any graduate looking for a paradigm shift ranging from social and natural sciences streams to arts and management. The course is of minimum one year duration and can be completed in maximum four years. Candidates with a PG Diploma in this course can join national and international organisations as professionals who are keen to understand and learn about global issues of conservation, development, and livelihood improvement.

Candidates can also find themselves placed in non-profit organisations, academic institutions, and industries as project officers or environmental experts. Students interested in this course can apply online or through application forms from the concerned regional centre of IGNOU.
