IIT Roorkee MBA Admission 2014

    IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Roorkee, opens admission in its two years’ post graduation program of MBA (Masters in Business Administration) for the academic session 2014-2016. The admission will be based on the applications of CAT (Common Admission Test)-2013 takers.

    Duration of the Program: 2 years

    Number of seats available: 95

    Eligibility

    Educational Qualification: A bachelor’s degree in any discipline of Engineering/Technology or a master’s degree in any field; with first class or its equivalent. Final year student can be admitted provisionally, provided they are selected and complete eligibility criterion within the specified date.

    60% (SC/ST/PD 55%) marks or 6.00 (SC/ST/PD 5.50) CGPA on a 10 point scales at qualifying degree level. On the basis of aggregate marks/CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) awarded in the qualifying degree examination, the overall percentage will be considered.

    Selection Procedure

    The candidates sitting for CAT13 are applicable for admission in batch 2014-2016. The initial screening to invite candidates for Group Discussions/ Interview will be done on the basis of their CAT scores. The aggregate score to decide the candidate’s selection will be the sum total of its overall performance in these sections;

    CAT score (65%), Group Discussion (10%), Interview (20%) and Work experience (5%). 

    Regular candidates: Final year students of an under graduate program are required to submit their certificates as a proof to their eligibility at the time of Group Discussion and Interview.

    Full time sponsored candidates: A minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience is required in a relevant field in which the admission is open. The work experience must have been gained in a/an Registered Firm/Company/Industry/Educational and Research Institution/Govt./Quasi Govt. /Autonomous Organization.

    NOTE: Only a public sector undertaking or a public limited company registered in a stock exchange or a private concern with an annual turnover of more than Rs. 5 crores is taken into count and only AICTE recognized educational institutions are considered. (The respective certificates of the sponsoring institutions should be submitted as and when required.)

    How to Apply for MBA Admission at IIT Roorkee

    Step 1: Apply Online

    Step 2: Deposition of Fee on next working day after submitting the online application

    Deposit the above fee in any branch of State Bank of India throughout the country on or before the last date i.e. January 31, 2013. (Bank Service Charges of Rs. 40/- is extra) on downloaded bank challan form alongwith completed application form.

    Step 3: Paste your recent photographs (3.5 cm X 3.5 cm) at the designated places.

    Step 4: Post/Submission

    Before posting your application form, make sure that, in addition to the other relevant attachments as mentioned below

    • Copy of CAT Scorecard
    • Attested copies of the marksheets, degree certificate or provisional certificate of qualifying degree if they have passed their qualifying degree.
    • Copy of OBC/SC/ST/PD category certificate if any)
    • Duly filled-in Application with appropriate enclosures must be sent by Speed Post or by Registered

    Post or it can be handed over personally to The Chairman, PG Admissions Office, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, ROORKEE-247667, Uttarakhand.
