Increased Number of Private Universities for India

Jan 28, 2013 17:49 IST

India is climbing the ladders for private institutions and Universities that are increasing every day.

In terms of the programs such as Liberal Arts etc, new universities find it easier to fix a launch mechanism. In the year 2005, there were around twenty institutions which offered the programme, which is now a whopping hundred universities offering the same course.

Since 2008, the country has seen a forty percent increase in students choosing to enroll in Private Universities instead of Public Schools.

One of the newest of these private schools in Noida. The university, in 2012 offered programs in engineering, math and natural sciences to its first batch of two hundred and seventy four  students. This year, 2013 it began its School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the student population has risen to a great five hundred and seventy four.
