India is to participate along with renowned Swedish statistician Hans Rosling in an annual global roundtable conference termed as ‘Going Global’ which will be held in Miami, South Florida from April 29 to May 1. The conference will be hosted by the British Council in association with the planning commission of Miami city and will take place at Miami Beach Convention Centre.
The 3 day annual conference this year shalltalk about higher education in large system countries. The participants will be seen arriving at this event from over 70 countries, including India, the UK, the US and China etc.
The objective of the conference is to build cooperation among countries to improve higher education. The conference will also act as a platform of sharing experiences and strategies reforms in higher education by representatives from various countries.
Among the Indian Personalities who have a steep role in developing policy for Higher Education in India, thesecretary of the Union ministry of HRD Ashok Thakur, vice-chancellor of Delhi University Dinesh Singh, Planning Commission secretary SindhushreeKhullar and advisor for higher education at the Planning Commission PawanAgarwalare to go at the event and represent India.
