Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow invites application for Walk – in - Interview from the eligible candidates for filling up the following vacant posts. The said posts are purely on temporary basis. The Walk – in – Interview for the following posts, will be held at Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow as per details given.

Educational Qualification

(i)B. Sc. (Ag.) and having working experience on tissue culture in sugarcane for not less than 01 year with any reputed organisation in India for the post of Young Professional - I.

(ii) Master’s Degree in Agriculture Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Chemistry/ Bachelor’s Degree in Plant Sciences/ Technology and atleast 03 years working experience in sugarcane related to cane quality/ post harvest research for the post of Young Professional – II.

(iii)First class Post Graduate Degree in Agronomy/ Microbiology with an overall good academic record. Minimum 06 months of experience of working in sugarcane crop for post of JRF.

(iv)Post Graduate Degree either in Botany/ Plant Biotechnology/ Life Sciences for the post of Project Assistant.

(v)Post Graduate Degree either in Plant Biochemistry/ Plant Biotechnology/ Plant Molecular Biology or Life Sciences for the post of JRF for another project.

 Age Limit & Relaxation

 Age Limit for the candidates should be between 21 years to 45 years as on date of interview for the post of Young Professional – I & II.

  • Age Limit for the men should be below 35 years and below 40 years for the women as on the date of interview for the post of JRFs & Project Assistant.
  • The Age limits are relaxable for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms.

 Pay Scale/ Salary/ Fellowship

  • Consolidated Salary of Rs. 15,000/- (Fixed) Per Month for the post of Young Professional – I.
  • Consolidated Salary of Rs. 25,000/- (Fixed) Per Month for the post of Young Professional – II.
  • Pay Scale of Rs. 12,000/- (fixed) Per Month plus 20% HRA in total it will be Rs. 14,400/- for the post of JRF.
  • Consolidated Salary of Rs. 8,000/- (Fixed) Per Month for the post of Project Assistant.
  • Pay Scale of Rs. 18,000/- (fixed) Per Month plus HRA for first and second year and Rs. 20,000/- (fixed) Per Month plus HRA for third year for the post of JRF.
  • Up to 12 months extendable to a maximum of another term based on needs of the organisation and performance of the candidate, but not extendable beyond 02 years for the post of Young Professional – I & II.
  • Up to 31 March 2015 or till the expiry of the scheme which ever is earlier for the post of JRF.
  • Up to 31 December 2014 or till the expiry of the project whichever is earlier for the post of Project Assistant.
  • Up to 31 March 2016 or till the expiry of the project whichever is earlier for the post of JRF for another project.

How to Apply

  • Eligible candidates desirous to be considered for the above mentioned position are advised to bring one copy of their bio-data along with Xerox copy of all the certificates and mark sheets affixing recent photograph thereon together with original copies of educational certificates/ mark sheet/experience certificate (matriculation onwards) and appear for a Walk – in - Interview on prescribed date, time and place for the posts.

Selection Procedure                                                        

The short listed candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Written Test/ Trade Test/ Practical/ Skill Test/ Interviews, which might be conducted by the administration.
