The Indian School Certificate Examinations in 2013 will now kick start at least two weeks prior than the normal date.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) also announced that practicals that are normally conducted by the mid of February , will now begin on 4 February 2012 and the theory examinations will start ten days later than that.
The board stated that the decision came post realizing that festivals like Easter and Holi fall in March 2013, which forced the decision takers to pre pone the examination.
With the preliminary examination finishing up only by the end of January 2013 in many schools, students will need to reschedule their timetable.
