JBIMS Mumbai concludes final placement for MMS 2017 batch

    JBIMS Mumbai has successfully completed the final placements of its 50th Masters in Management Studies (MMS) batch. The institute attracted a series of profiles from 72 companies across various verticals. A total of 116 students participated in the placement drive organised by the institute. The Highest salary offered at the Institute was INR 26 lakh per annum. The average salary this year reached INR 18.13 lakh per annum. However, the icing on the cake was the fact that almost 50 per cent students of the batch were offered PPOs/PPIs by notable companies such as Accenture Strategy, CRISIL, Citibank, P&G, TCS, Vodafone, McKinsey & Co and many more.

    JBIMS Placements Companies in 2017

    The placement report of JBIMS Mumbai has been bifurcated on sector-wide participation in the campus placement drive for the MMS programme. This will enable in understanding the demand of the job seekers across industry and the ratio of firms that are interested in recruiting students from the top-B school of India.


    As per the statistics mentioned above, it is evident that BFSI sector has tapped the maximum talent from the campus followed by Auto, manufacturing and other industries. Further, IT and telecom holds third position with 13 per cent hiring made from the campus.

    Tips to Crack MH CET 2017 in First Attempt for JBIMS


    BFSI emerged as the highest recruiter in JBIMS this year. Around 43 per cent of the betch has been recruited by booming BFSI sector. Eminent organizations such as Aditya Birla Financial Services Group, Axis Securities, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citibank, CRISIL, Franklin Templeton, HDFC AMC, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, IDBI Capital, IIFL, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Kotak Mahindra Bank, RBL Bank, SBI, SBI Capital Markets, SBI Mutual Fund, Standard Chartered, YES Bank were the recruiters in this domain. Job profiles ranging from Investment Banking to Wealth management were offered to the JBIMS graduates.


    Renowned corporate brands such as Maruti Suzuki, Saint Gobain, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Vedanta were among the industry participants who recruited the aspirants on coveted roles.


    Top companies such as Accenture Strategy, GeP, Infosys Consulting, Tata Strategic Management, McKinsey & Co. offered roles to the bright JBIMS graduates.


    Well-known companies such as Abbott, Nestle, L’Oreal, Heinz, HUL, Kraft, NIVEA, Arvind Brand came to campus to hire the job seekers.


    Notable conglomerates like Welspun, Reliance Industries Ltd., Hinduja Group, Mahindra, General Electric offered wide array of roles such as Corporate finance, Sales and Marketing, Operations, and General Management to the JBIMs graduates.  


    Various firms from this sector along with media and advertising also showed keen interest in hiring the talented pool of candidates. Firms such as Zycus, Vodafone, Tricon Energy, Honeywell Technologies, Amazon, Microland, Capgemini, GroupM, Tech Mahindra, Atos etc. participated in the on-campus placement rive and recruited job seekers on various roles.

    In 2017, the final placement round of JBIMS Mumbai witnessed first time recruiters such as Aditya Birla Financial Services, ATG, Avendus Capital, Infosys Consulting, HPCL, Merrill Lynch, GeP etc. Overall, a 33 per cent rise was recorded in the participation from conglomerates, and manufacturing companies.
