Karnataka Examination Authority has been authorised by Government of Karnataka to conduct Post- Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) for admissions to various post-graduate courses in various colleges of Karnataka. Karnataka Examination Authority invites applications from eligible and interested candidates for the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2012 for admission to the courses mentioned below

Important Dates for Admission through PGCET

• Opening Date for Applying Online: 7 June 2012
• Last Date for Applying Online: 28 June 2012
• Last date to pay the fees in the bank: 30 June 2012
• Last date to upload the Challan Journal details for having paid fees: 2 July 2012
• Date for Downloading of Admission Tickets on or after: 20 July 2012
• Date for the Examination (PGCET): 28 July (10:30 am to 12:30 pm); For MCA: 29 July 2012 (10:30 am to 12:30 pm)

Note: Candidates with valid GATE Score need not appear for PGCET- 2012 for admission to the desired courses

How to Apply for Admission through PGCET

The candidates may apply online through the official website http://kea.kar.nic.in/ and should follow the detailed instructions carefully appended on the same website.

Downloading of e-Brochure: The complete brochure can be downloaded from the Website http://kea.kar.nic.in/pgcet/2012/pg_brochure.pdf on or after 15 June 2012.

Application Fee:

• For Only MCA or ME/ MTech: Rs 600 (GM, OBC & Non-Karnataka candidates); Rs 300 (SC/ ST/ Cat-1 of Karnataka Candidates)
• For MCA and ME/ MTEch: Rs 1200 (GM, OBC & Non-Karnataka candidates); Rs 600 (SC/ ST/ Cat-1 of Karnataka Candidates)

Note: The candidates must download the Challan and pay the required fee in any of the branches as available the Website
