KCET 2025 Paper Analysis: The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is conducting the KCET exam from April 15, 2025, at designated test centres. The KEA conducted the Kannada language test on April 15, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM; however, the subject-specific papers like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology are being conducted on April 16 and 17 in two shifts from 10:30 AM to 11:50 AM and 2:30 PM to 3:50 PM. 

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2025 is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority. It serves as a gateway for admission into various undergraduate professional courses like Engineering, Pharm and other professional courses offered by various universities, government, and self-financing colleges in Karnataka.

The KCET 2025 exam is scheduled to be conducted on April 15, 2025, in a single shift for the Kannada language and on April 16 and 17 in two shifts for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. KCET Exam Analysis 2025: Exam Pattern

The section-wise KCET 2025 exam pattern helps candidates understand the overall scoring parameter and marking scheme. KCET 2025 Physics Exam Analysis

The KCET Physics paper contains questions from the classes 11 and 12 syllabus. The KCET physics paper has 60 questions with a total of 60 marks. The total allotted time for the exam is 80 minutes. 

As per the initial response, the overall difficulty level was moderate with a mix of conceptual and numerical questions and similar to the previous year. The section-wise difficulty level is provided below:

  • Balanced mix of theory-based and numerical questions
  • A few tricky conceptual questions from Modern Physics and Electromagnetism
  • High-Weightage Chapters: Kinematics, Current Electricity and Ray and Wave Optics
  • Students with strong formula recall and conceptual clarity found it easier
  • 40-45 can be considered a good score for competitive ranks

KCET 2025 Chemistry Exam Analysis

The KCET Chemistry paper contains questions from the syllabus for classes 11 and 12. The KCET Chemistry paper has 60 questions with a total of 60 marks. The total allotted time for the exam is 80 minutes. 

As per the initial response, the overall difficulty level was easy to moderate with a mix of conceptual and direct formula-based questions and similar to the previous year. 

  • Most students found the paper manageable with direct and formula-based questions.
  • Question Distribution:
    • Physical Chemistry: 20-22
    • Organic Chemistry: 23-25
    • Inorganic Chemistry: 14-16
  • High-Weightage Chapters: Thermodynamics, Chemical Kinetics and Coordination Compounds
  • A few tricky conceptual questions in Organic and Coordination Compounds
  • Simple numericals in Physical Chemistry
  • 50 can be considered a very good score for top ranks

KCET 2025 Maths Exam Analysis

The KCET Mathematics paper contains questions from the syllabus for classes 11 and 12. The KCET Math paper has 60 questions with a total of 60 marks. The total allotted time for the exam is 80 minutes. 

As per the initial response, the paper was balanced, but students found some questions were tricky due to lengthy calculations or application-based questions. Compared to the previous year, the difficulty level was slightly higher, especially in Algebra and Calculus.

  • Overall paper was Moderate to Difficult
  • Algebra and Calculus had tricky and time-consuming questions
  • Statistics, Probability, and Matrices were relatively easy and scored
  • High-Weightage Chapters: Probability & Statistics, Coordinate Geometry, Matrices & Determinants
  • 38-42 can be considered a good score for competitive ranks
