Malwa Gramin Bank Recruitment for Various Posts 2011

Malwa Gramin Bank is a Regional Rural Bank sponsored by State Bank of Patiala. It was established on 27 February 1986 with a capital of Rs 1.00 crore. NABARD declared it as the 2nd best amongst 86 Regional Rural Banks of the country on the basis of Financial Performance during 2008-2009. Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification

• Officer Scale III: Degree from a recognised University in any discipline or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having Degree/ Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy. Experience: Minimum 5 years as an Officer in any Bank or Financial Institutions.
• Officer Scale II
  
  a)      Information Technology: Degree from a recognised University in Electronics/ Communication/ Computer Science/ Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP etc. Experience: One year
  
  b) General Banking Officer: Degree from a recognized university in any discipline or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to candidates having Degree/ Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing, and co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy. Experience: 2 years as an Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions.
• Officer Scale I: Degree from a recognized university in any discipline or its equivalent. Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy. Proficiency in local language i.e. Punjabi and must have passed "Punjabi" as one of the subject at Matriculation/ Senior School Certificate (old pattern)/ Graduation or at equivalent level., Computer knowledge or awareness will be an added qualification.
• Office Assistant: Degree from a recognized university in any discipline or its equivalent. Essential: Proficiency in local language i.e. Punjabi and must have passed "Punjabi" as one of the subject at Matriculation/ Senior School Certificate (old pattern)/ Graduation or at equivalent level., Computer knowledge or awareness will be an added qualification. Desirable: Knowledge of Computer skills.

Age Limit (as on 1 August 2011)

• Officer Scale III: Maximum 40 years
• Officer Scale II: Above 21 years but below 32 years
• Officer Scale I: Above 18 years but below 28 years
• Office Assistant: Between 18 years and 28 years

• Officer Scale-III: Rs 25700-800/5-29700-900/2-31500
• Officer Scale-II: Rs 19400-700/1-20100-800/10-28100
• Officer Scale-I: Rs 14500-600/7-18700-700/2-20100-800/7-25700
• Office Assistant: Rs 7200-400/3-8400-500/3-9900-600/4-12300-700/7-17200-1300/1-18500-800/1-19300

At present the total starting emoluments are approximately as follows:

• Officer Scale-III: Rs 40, 800
• Officer Scale-II: Rs 30,800
• Officer Scale-I: Rs 23,000
• Office Assistant: Rs 11,400

NOTE: Other allowances & perquisites will be admissible as per the rules of the Bank. 

Application Fee

• For all Officers: Application fee for General and OBC candidate is Rs 500 and fee for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex- Servicemen candidate is Rs 100.
• For Office Assistant: Application fee for General and OBC candidate is Rs 400 and fee for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex- Servicemen candidate is Rs 100.

Selection Procedure: The selection of the candidates shall be made on the basis of performance in written test (70 marks) and interview (30 marks).
