Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) has invited applications from various candidates to apply for its Post Graduate Programme for Certificate in Entrepreneurship Management (PGP-CEM) for the academic session 2016 – 17. All the interested and eligible candidates can apply through proper channel latest by 15th June, 2016.

Xavier Labour Relations Institute, widely known as XLRI was born out of the vision of a Jesuit Priest, Father Quinn Enright. It was founded in 1949 in the Steel city of Jamshedpur. Since then the Jamshedpur Jesuit Society has nurtured the growth of XLRI in keeping with its commitment to "Magis" (excellence in everything).

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in PGP-CEM

To be eligible to apply for admission into the Programme, the candidates should

(i) be at least Graduates from any recognized University

(ii) have interest in entrepreneurship-social or commercial- even though currently not functioning as entrepreneurs

(iii) Possess basic computer literacy 5

(iv) No age bar has been stipulated for applying for admission into the programme;

(v) Eligible applicants will be subject to a process of Personal Interview and, if necessary, Group Discussion, for final selection of candidates for admission into the Programme

(vi) Being called for Personal Interview and Group Discussions etc., will not necessarily entitle a candidate to admission into the Programme

Selection procedure for Admission in XLRI’s PGP-CEM 2016-17

Eligible Candidates will be called for Interview / GD process and selection for this Programme will be made on the basis of their performance in Interview / GD process.

How to apply for XLRI’s PGP-CEM

Candidates have to apply on the official website of XLRI on or before 15th June 2016 and need to send a hard copy of the completed application form along with (i) a copy of a recently taken passport-size photograph of the candidate and (ii) a Demand Draft for Rs. 750/- only or proof of transaction in case of online payment should reach "EDC Office, XLRI Jamshedpur, Circuit House Area (East), Jamshedpur - 831001" on or before June 22, 2016.

Fee Structure for PGP-CEM Programme

Programme (Course) Fee has been fixed at Rs 70,000, which will be payable in two equal installments. A sum of of Rs 15,000 for books & other reading materials, and a Caution Money of Rs 6,000 (refundable on completion of the programme after necessary adjustment) will be payable by each student at the time of admission into the programme along with the first installment of the programme (course) fee. Service Tax and other Cess, if any, applicable in terms the extant rules of the Government, will be payable on Programme (Course) Fee and Books and Reading Material expense charge.

Hostel Fee including a Mess Advance by way of board charges is expected to be Rs 52,000 only for those opting for twin-sharing rooms and Rs 55,000 only for those opting for single-seated rooms for the entire period of the programme. Service Tax etc., if any, will be applicable to the Mess Advance part only as per extant rules of the Government.

Seat Reservation

50 % of seats will be reserved for candidates from Jharkhand. For this category of candidates, reservation norms stipulated by the Government will apply.

Scholarships

Limited number of scholarships may be available for meritorious but poor students particularly from among the SC / ST candidates based on criteria to be decided by the Institute.
