National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology, Ranchi Notified Recruitment for 57 Posts 2014

The National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology (NIFFT), Ranchi established by Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India, in Collaboration with UNDP, UNESCO in 1966 at Ranchi, Jharkhand, issued notification inviting applications for filling up 57 vacancies of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in the 5 departments of Foundry Technology, Forge Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering and Applied Science & Humanities.  Interested candidates should send their applications to the concerned authority on or before 15 May 2014.

Name of the Posts & associated Pay Scale

For Assistant Professor: PB-3 of Rs. 15 600- 39100 with AGP of Rs. 6000

For Associate Professor: PB-4 of Rs. 37400- 67000 with AGP of Rs. 9000

For Professor: PB-4 of Rs. 37400- 67000 with AGP of Rs. 10000

Qualifications & Experience related to Teaching Positions

I.  For Four Engineering / Technology Departments

1. Assistant Professor

Qualification: M. Tech. with Bachelor’s or Master’s / equivalent degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering/ Technology

2. Associate Professor

Qualification: Ph.D. Degree with Bachelor’s or Master’s / equivalent degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering /Technology

Experience: At least 8 years of teaching/research/industrial experience in the relevant field/related areas at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent, excluding the period spent for obtaining a PhDs degree.

3. Professor

Qualification: Ph.D. Degree with Bachelor’s or Master’s / equivalent degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering /Technology

Experience: At least 10 years of teaching/research/industrial experience in the relevant field/related areas of which at least five years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.

II. For Science and Humanities department

Assistant Professor

Qualification: Ph.D. Degree with M.Sc. / M. A. / M. Tech. or equivalent in appropriate discipline

Associate Professor

Qualification: Ph.D. Degree with M.Sc. / M. A. / M. Tech. or equivalent in appropriate discipline

Experience: At least 8 years of teaching/research/industrial experience in the relevant field/related areas at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent, excluding the period spent for obtaining a PhDs degree.

Professor

Qualification: Ph.D. Degree with M.Sc. / M. A. / M. Tech. or equivalent in appropriate discipline

Experience: At least 10 years of teaching/research/industrial experience in the relevant field/related areas of which at least five years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.

Age of Retirement: 65 years (for all the posts with all the departments)

Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the Interview.

Application Fees: Non-refundable application fee of Rs 500 (Rs. 250 for SC / ST category candidates) is to be paid through a crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of “NIFFT, Ranchi” payable at any nationalized bank in Ranchi.

Female & PwD candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
