    About JEE:
    Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common entrance examination which is conducted by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education for admission in various undergraduate engineering courses. In 2012, CBSE has merged AIEEE and IIT-JEE and announced this common examination. JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is beingconducted into two parts, JEE-MAIN and JEE-ADVANCED. JEE-Advanced is conducted for admission in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs),and the Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad. JEE-Main is conducted for the admission in National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), Centrallly Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), State Funded Technical Institutions (SFTI) and some Universities.

    JEE MAIN:
    About:

    JEE MAIN is the first part of the exam (JEE)which is conducted for the admission in 30 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), 12 Indian Institutes of Information Technology, 16 Central Government/State Government Funded Institutions, and various Self Financed Deemed Universities/Universities/Other Institutions. JEE MAIN All India Rank (AIR) is also accepted by the technical education departments of 9 states (Haryana, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Nagaland, Maharashtra, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh). Over 1.3 million students appeared in JEE Main 2014, which was conducted in both modes - offline and online. The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at JEE (Main) are limited to 03 (three).

    Eligibility:

    • Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1990 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years.
    • Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2013 or 2014; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2014 are eligible to appear in JEE (Main) - 2015.

    How to Apply:

    • Candidates will need to register on the official website of JEE Main 2015.
    • Candidates must keep the scanned copies of important documents like passport size colour photographs, signature and left thumb impression in JPEG format ready and must upload those documents when asked.
    • JEE Main 2015 Application fee can be paid in three ways – using credit card, debit card or e-challan. Candidates can use any one of the three modes for payment.
    • Students not to send any hard copy of documents or confirmation page print to JEE Mains office. Candidates are advised to retain hard copy of the application i.e. confirmation page for future reference or correspondence.

    JEE ADVANCED:
    About:

    JEE Advanced is the second part of the JEE. It is the common entrance examination for the admission in under graduate engineering courses of 16 IITs and ISM, Dhanbad. Top 1.50 lakh scorers of JEE Main can appear in this entrance exam and they compete for 9,784 seats. Admissions to IITs are based only on category-wise All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Advanced provided such candidates are in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.

    Eligibility:

    • Same as that of JEE MAIN.
    • Candidate must qualify the JEE MAIN and must be among the top 1.50 lakh candidates.
