Course Details
Name of the Course: Post Graduate Diploma Course in Transmission & Distribution Systems (PGDC in TDS)
Duration: 26 Weeks
No. of Seats: 60 seats.
[25% seats are reserved for sponsored category. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC & PH will be as per Government rules.]

About the course: This is a Graduate Engineer Program for those who desire to make a career in the power sector. It will be conducted by Power Systems Training Institute (PSTI), a unit of NPTI at Bangalore. The course content complies with the syllabus for Engineers and Supervisors for Operation & Maintenance of Transmission & Distribution Systems as per Safety and Electrical Supply Regulations 7(3) of Govt. of India.

Eligibility Criterion
Educational Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent in “Electrical Engineering” or “Electrical & Electronics Engineering” or “Power Engineering”.

Age Limit: 30 years (Maximum age limit as on 1 February 2014)
No age limit for sponsored candidates.

Selection Criteria for Admission: Admission will be offered to the students on the basis of the marks obtained by them in the B.E. or equivalent examination.

Candidates sponsored by employers, fulfilling the eligibility conditions, will be admitted directly.

How to Apply

Interested eligible candidates should send their duly-filled in application forms along with attested copies of required mark sheets/certificates and fee DD (if required) by post or submit in person to “The Principal Director, National Power Training Institute, Power Systems Training Institute,Yarab Nagar Bus-stop, Banashankari II Stage, Bangalore - 560070 “so as to reach the concerned authority by 14 January 2014.

Application form along with prospectus can be obtained from the Institute in person by paying Rs.500 cash. The form can be obtained through post by sending a Crossed Demand Draft for ‘Rs. 500’ drawn in favour of "PSTI, Bangalore" along with a A4 size self addressed envelope to “Shri M N Murthy, Principal Director, Power Systems Training Institute, National Power Training Institute, Subramanyapura Road, Banashankari II Stage, P.O. Box No. 8201, Bangalore - 560 070.”

Application form cum prospectus can also be downloaded from PSTI Bangalore website www.kar.nic.in/psti.  
NOTE: Candidates using downloaded application form will have to send a crossed DD of Rs.500 drawn in favour of “PSTI, Bangalore” along with the application form.
