1. Engine Driver (1st Class): 01 (One).
2. Engine Driver (2nd Class): 02 (Two).
3. Engine Driver (Class III): 02 (Two).
4. Tindal of Engine Room: 07 (Seven).
5. Lascar (OD): 10 (Ten).
6. Asst. Fireman Group: 07 (Seven).
7. Bhandari: 03 (Three).
8. Topass: 01 (One).

(B) To be filled at Andaman And NicobarIslands:

1. Engine Driver (1st Class): 01 (One).
2. Engine Driver (Class III): 01 (One).
3. Lascar (OD): 04 (Four).

Eligibility Criteria 

Educational Qualification

• SSC or Matriculation Pass or equivalent from a recognized School or Board or Institution.
• Certificate of Competency as 1st/ 2nd Class Engine Driver.
• Must have permit from Mercantile Marine Dept.
• Possess 2nd Class Boiler Attendant Certificate.
• Must know Swimming.

Age Limit: The candidate should be below 37 years as on last date of receipt of application and Relaxationfor the category candidate should be as per rules.

Pay Scale

• For Post 1& 9: Rs. 9,300/- to Rs. 34,800/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 4,200/- Per Month
• Pay Band (PB – 1) and Pay Scale is of Rs. 5,200/- to Rs. 20,200/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 2, 800/- Per Month (for post 2), Grade Pay of Rs. 2, 400/- Per Month (for post 3& 10), Grade Pay of Rs. 1,900/- Per Month (for post 4) and Grade Pay of Rs. 1, 800/- Per Month (for post 5 to 8& 11).

Selection Procedure

The short listed candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in the Written Test, Physical Endurance Test followed with the Personal Interview/ Medical Test, which will be conducted by the administration.
