NDA 2016:Result and Important Dates

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) notifies the important dates of NDA (I) and NDA (II) 2016.

Important Dates: NDA (I)

•The online application forms can start filling from January 2, 2016

•The last date of online application is up to 29th Jan 2016.

•The tentative date declares by UPSC for the result of written examination of NDA is 2 months after the written exam which means the examination is on April 17th 2016 so we can expect till the month of July.

Important Dates: NDA (II)

•The online application form can start filling from June 6, 2016.

•The last date of online application is up to 15thjune 2016

•The Exam will be conducted on September 19, 2016 and expected result is after two months (Tentative) of the written examination.


After the clearing the written examination, the qualified candidates will be called for the personal interview round to be conducted by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence. Admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 135th Course and for the 97th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) would be made on the basis of the NA II Exam Result & performance in the Interview. Only those candidates are eligible to attend the SSB Interview who has qualified the cutoff scores for NDA Exam I. SSB interview last for 4-5 days and   the final merit list is prepared and the selection is done after the medical process and document verification.

Important Details about the Result

•Candidates can check their NDA 2 Result on the official website of UPSC (www.upsc.gov.in ).
•The result will be  published in the form of pdf file displaying the Roll number of the successful candidates
•Candidates need to search their roll number in the pdf file.
•No candidate will be intimated personally regarding the result announcement
•All the candidates whose roll number is listed in the result file are selected provisionally as their candidature can be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment process if found a violation of rules.
•At the SSB interview, they will have to submit their original certificates of age, educational qualification, and categorical reservation claim.
•NA II Exam Result doesn’t show the marks obtained by the candidates. It shows only the status of the qualified candidates
•Detailed marks would be made available on the UPSC’s website within 15 days of the announcement of the final results after the conduct of the SSB Interviews

However the huge variation is seen in cut-off marks every year but any candidate who scores more than 45% in each subject then there can be some possibility to crack the NDA exam.
