    The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has again stopped the process of NEET Counselling 2018 as per the directions of Hon’ble High Court of Bombay (Nagpur Bench). The MCC released a notification stated that “All the participating candidates/institutes/colleges/universities of Online Undergraduate (MBBS and BDS) Courses Counselling: 2018 are hereby informed that in compliance of directions of Hon’ble High Court of Bombay (Nagpur Bench) in PIL No. 87 of 2018, further counselling process is kept in abeyance.” Earlier, the Madras High Court ordered grace marks of 196 to be awarded to the candidates who had opted NEET UG 2018 paper in Tamil and demanded CBSE a fresh rank list within two weeks, but Supreme Court stayed this order. As a result, the NEET Counselling 2018 was to start from July 20.

    According to the schedule released by MCC, the second round of registration, payment, and choice filling for NEET 2018 counselling was started from July 6, 2018. The candidates who had not registered for the first round of counselling of NEET 2018 can also participate in the second round process of registration, payment and choice filling. The fee for the second round could be paid until July 10 (2.00 PM), while the facility to lock the filled choices was extended till July 9 (11.59 PM). The candidates who have registered for the first round of NEET counselling 2018, can check their result.

    NEET Counselling 2018: Participating Institutes

    Students can check the list of all the colleges/institutes that are participating in the NEET Counselling 2018 on the official website i.e., mcc.nic.in. To check the list of colleges, students need to follow the steps given below:

    1. Visit the official website, mcc.nic.in.

    2. Click on the link “Participating Institutions” given at the top.

    3. Select the course MMBS/BDS to view the name of the colleges/institutes.

    Conclusion:

    Candidates waiting for the NEET UG Counselling 2018 result should regularly check the official website. Once the result got announced, all successful allottees need to report at the allotted institute.
