NIT Uttarakhand Notified Recruitment for 10 Trainee Teachers vacancies 2014

National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand, one of the 30 NITs created by the Government of India offers career opportunity to those who are interested in teaching and research. The NIT issued notification inviting applications for filling up 10 vacancies under the Trainee Teachers Scheme in the disciplines of Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Interested candidates should send their duly filled-in application forms by post so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 15 April 2014.

Vacancy Details

1. Program: Trainee Teachers Scheme

Nature of Program: To appoint “Trainee Teachers” (TT) on contractual basis at National Institute of Technologies (NITs) subject to enrollment of the Candidates in Indian Institute of Technologies (IITs) for M.Tech and Ph.D. programme.

Duration of M.Tech. and Ph.D. programs: Maximum 8 years

Mode of Delivery: Part-time and Virtual mode with one semester full time in particular IIT.

No. of Trainees:  10 vacancies

Departments:

a. Electrical Engineering

b. Electronics Engineering

c. Computer Science & Engineering

d. Mechanical Engineering

e. Civil Engineering. 

Remuneration: Rs. 37000 per month (Consolidated as per MHRD guideline under Trainee Teachers Scheme)

Essential qualifications:  B. Tech in relevant discipline; B. Tech / BE in concerned specializations will be preferred.

NOTE: Candidate awarded degrees in 2013 are eligible to apply. Those appearing/ appeared for Final B. Tech. exam and whose results are likely to be declared on or before 1 July 2014 can also apply for the recruitment under the Trainee Teachers Scheme.

Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the test/ interview.

Only short-listed candidates will be called for the written test and those qualifying the teat will be called for Interview.

The One-hour written examination shall be based on GATE syllabus and will be of multiple choice question type.

The Written Test and Interviews shall be conducted at IIT Roorkee. Schedule of Written exam and Interviews will be displayed on the Institute’s website and mentioned in the Test/ Interview call letter.

Candidates appearing for interviews shall be paid return train fare by sleeper class to Roorkee.

Selected candidates would be engaged as Trainee Teachers at NIT Uttarakhand to assist in teaching. They shall be given direct admission to PhD and part time M. Tech. programs at IIT Roorkee.

After successful completion of the PhD from IIT, the TT will be absorbed as an Assistant Professor at NIT Uttarakhand in regular scale.
