Established in 1965, National Power Training Institute (NPTI) is a National Apex body in India for training and human resources development in the power sector under Ministry of Power, Government of India. It invites applications from interested candidates for the course as mentioned below

• Opening Date for Online registration: 1 April 2012
• Closing Date for Online registration: 20 April 2012
• Last Date for Receipt of Application: 4 May 2012
• Date & Time of PGDC CET 2012: 10 June 2012 (Sunday); 11 am to 1.30 pm
• Date for declaration of Result: 22 June 2012
• Counseling at Nagpur: 11 July 2012 to 13 July 2012
• Last date of joining and Commencement of Course: 20 August 2012
• Display of status of choice for change of institute (if available): 24 August 2012
• Second Counseling (if required): 31 August 2012

Eligibility Conditions for Admission in NPTI

Educational Qualification: BTech / BE or equivalent in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Power/ Control & Instrumentation Engineering. Those appearing in their final year examination can also apply

Age Limit (as on 31 August 2012): 27 years (for non-sponsored candidates)

Note: There is no age limit for sponsored candidates

Selection Procedure for Admission in NPTI

Candidates will be selected on merit based on Common Entrance Test (CET) result followed by counseling. The CET will be held in 8 cities: Faridabad, Badarpur (New Delhi), Nagpur, Durgapur, Neyveli, Bangalore, Guwahati and Nangal

How to Apply for Admission in NPTI

Applications are to be filled online with DD details (Demand Draft for the prescribed registration fees in favour of NPTI Nagpur payable at Nagpur must be ready at the time of registration). The other details are available on website http://www.nptinagpur.com and www.npti.in

Each applicant will be given a unique ID on successful registration at site. This ID must be preserved for future reference. On registration the hard copy along with the testimonials (refer website) and Demand Draft should be sent to The Principal Director, National Power Training Institute (WR), south Ambazari Road, Gopal Nagar, Nagpur-440 022 along with two copies of passport size photographs (with Name & ID written on backside)
