Eligibility Criteria for recruitment in NPCIL

Educational Qualification

• Stipendiary Trainees (Scientific Assistant/B): 3 year Diploma course in Engineering with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (aggregate as per the university ordinance) in any of the engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering). For Physics, BSc should be with Physics as main and Chemistry and Mathematics as subsidiary with minimum 60% of marks.
• Stipendiary Trainees (Technician/B): SSC with not less than 50% marks in Science & Mathematics individually and 2 years ITI certificate (except Process/ Plant operation)

Age Limit (as on 1 May 2012): Maximum 25 years (24 years for Technician/B)

Selection Procedure for recruitment in NPCIL: The candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria will have to go through Written Examination which will be conducted in two parts

• Part I: General knowledge, English and Maths
• Part II: Technical subjects in the relevant discipline

Candidates qualifying in written test will be called for Trade Test and Personal Interview. Call letter for appearing in written examination will be sent to each eligible candidate indicating his roll no, date, time and centre(s).
