Odisha SSC invited applications for recruitment on behalf of the Odisha Police’s to the post for Constable under 9^th India Reserve Battalion (Specialized). The candidates eligible for the post can apply online in the prescribed format on or before 4 January 2017.

Eligibility Criteria for Constable Posts

Educational/Technical Qualification & Experience:

Constable: candidate should have passed High school certificate examination or equivalent from a recognised board and should be proficient in Odia Language and should have passed Odia as one of the subject at High school examination or ME standard recognised by School of Mass Education Department of Government of Odisha. Candidate should posses minimum required physical stature.

Selection Process for Constable Posts

Candidates will be selected on the basis of physical stature, physical efficiency test, medical test, NCC certificate and written examination. Credits will be awarded for Driving Test and Sports Achievements.

Physical Efficiency Test: candidates are required to run 1.6 KM within 6.30 minutes. Extra marks will be awarded for finishing within 5 minutes. Candidates should be able to qualify High Jump by jumping over 1.22 meters; candidates will be given 3 chances to qualify. Candidates will have to qualify other events too such as Rope Climbing, Swimming, and 05 KM cross country run.

Written examination:

Candidate will be tested on their knowledge of Oriya Language, English Language, Arithmetic, General Knowledge, aptitude, and logical reasoning.
