Indian Overseas Bank is a Public Sector Bank. They invited applicants to apply for the position of Credit Officers. This positions requires Master of Business Administration, MBA as a qualification.

Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) was established in 1937 by Shri M Ct M Chidambaram Chettyar to encourage overseas banking and foreign exchange operations. It is one of the most prestigious banks in India. The management and miscellaneous provisions of the bank are governed by the Nationalized Banks Scheme, 1970. They invited applications for senior & middle management level positions.

Eligibility Criteria for the position of Credit Officers:
Candidate should have 60% marks or its equivalent grade in Graduation (10+2+3) and CA/ICWA/CFA/MBA with specialization in Finance from a recognized university/Institute by Government. Of India. (Candidates with CAIIB/Diploma in Banking and Finance by IIBF, formal credit training at a scheduled commercial bank will be preferred for the position)

Required Experience:
3 years post qualification experience in Commercial Bank (Candidates who has the experience in handling of credit processing as an officer will be preferred) 

Selection Procedure:

  • Written Test
  • Personal Interview

Final selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination & Interview.

Details of Written Examination:
The written examination will consist of  200 Objective Type questions. The examination will be for 200 marks. The time duration for the examination will be 2 hours. It can be conducted Online or Offline.

The objective test will have the following sections:

  • Reasoning (50 questions)
  • English Language (50 questions)
  • Quantitative Aptitude (50 questions)
  • Test of Professional Knowledge (50 questions)

There will be a negative marking of one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question on every wrong response.
Weightage for Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Test of Professional Language will be 50,25,50 and 75 respectively.

Application Fee:

Rs. 50/- for SC/ST/Physically challenged
Rs. 300/- for others
