Bank appoints Business Correspondents to increase its reach in remote areas. Their main work is to make the bank more accessible and closer to the people. Along with this, the other business activities of the Business Correspondent include helping people to open their bank accounts, helping people to get money from money transactions, such as withdrawal of money. The Business Correspondent also helps the bank in selling the financial products of the bank and in return, they are commissioned on behalf of the bank.
