Hyderabad: The Department of Posts will recruit 55000 Gramin Dak Sevaks. The recruitment process will be online and will be held in the month of November.
As per the statement given by BV Sudhakar, Secretary, Department of Posts, online process is being implemented in the recruitment process to ensure transparency in the system. He further added that the software for online recruitment is in testing phase.
The Department of Post launched National Service Call Centre (1924) for addressing the grievance of postal customers. The initiative has improved the grievance handling of postal department by 98 percent. After placing the complaint, customers will be provided a 11 digit number as a ID to check the status of the complaint.
Post Payment Bank is also likely to kick start by March 2017 with 650 branches. It will start with nearly 1 lakh employees in the initial phase.
