    In a one of its kind association, Graphic Era University situated in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand in India became one of the two Universities of the nation in 2017 to tie up with TATA Technologies in the formulation of Centre of Excellence Partner Labs and start special industry aligned B.Tech. programs to enable graduates to acquire global competencies that articulate the knowledge and skills required for 21st century- these programs are available in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering in the field of Robotics and Automation, Automotive Engineering and Internet of Things.

    Mechanical labThese Centre of Excellence Partner Labs at Graphic Era University established with TATA Technologies encompasses a Technology Center equipped with High End Industrial Workstation, Computer Aided Design, Manufacturing and Engineering, Product Life Cycle Management and Virtual Reality Tools through which aspiring engineers will be taught design and development techniques. It also includes a Mechatronics Centre which will act as an Incubation Centre for advance technologies in Automotive Electronics Field and an Advance Manufacturing Centre equipped with 3D printers, laser cutting machines and industrial robots. The Internet of Things Centre / Manufacturing Execution Systems(MES) Centre will provide access to the students of Graphic Era University to IoT Kits and various other Hardware components to understand the global trends in manufacturing / production areas. This shall also encompass an advanced Tear Down and Benchmarking Centre.

    Collaborating with Tata Technologies means co-creating sustainable value for Graphic Era’s key engineering and technology innovation and become a catalyst in reducing the academia-industry gap to ensure that the future engineers are ready for the industry.


    The highly- advanced factory simulated environment equipped with state-of-the-art machines and high-end industrial software at Graphic Era’s Centre of Excellence Partner Labs enable students availing these facilities to experience an unprecedented hands-on learning and enable internship opportunities with Tata companies/leading global OEMs to prepare for a real-world, professional experience.
