English Language is an integral part of banking written examination and is of great importance which checks the understanding of the candidates in the language. The questions asked are rather tricky than tough and requires a good practice and word stock to perform well. Along with the vocabulary and reading skills the candidates need to focus on the grammar part for this paper as well. The grammar portion contains almost one-third marks among the overall number of questions in the whole paper and thus needs a proper evaluation by the candidates to score well in the paper.   • Make your basics right: If you need to score well in the paper, the first and foremost thing that you should do is to brush your basics. The questions in the competitive exams are mainly from secondary or higher secondary level. You need to brush your memory of your school when you have undergone the basics of the language. This could help you understand the paper fully. If you haven’t gone through proper training earlier you should begin now, and grapple with the language as soon as possible by learning the basics of it.
  • Follow books and guides: Your best teachers are the books that you follow. Try to make a list of books that might help you get a clear understanding of the subject, so that you can know more about the language and perform well in the exams. You can refer to competitive books but it is better to go through English language books and grammar texts to understand the basics thoroughly.   • Start loving the language: English is such a language that if you can love it, it would embrace you back too. You need to delve yourself up in the vast ocean of the language and should swim against all tides.   • Practice writing: Practice makes a man perfect! This is completely true when it comes to prepare for grammar section in English as well. You need to have a flair for writing which would eventually make you able to distinguish from right and wrong on your own.
