Protest To Either Exclude English In Civil Service Exam Syllabus

A protest was demonstrated by around 300 students and lecturers of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) , in front of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) workplace.

A protest was demonstrated by around 300 students and lecturers of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) , in front of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) workplace. This happened on Thursday, for the demand of elimination of the English language from the syllabus of civil service examination.

The demand was that the authorities either exclude English or include other foreign languages again, into the syllabus of UPSC examination.
A delegation led by Aligarh Muslim university (AMU),  JNU Students Union and lecturers will hold meeting with D P Agarwal (USPC Chairman).

Akbar Chaudhary (President of JNUSU) told that on one hand the government and authorities support globalisation, on other they exclude foreign languages from the Civil service examination syllabus. Since many students who takes foreign language while studies, and give the civil service examination are to suffer and their opportunity will be in a risk.
