The examination for class 12th was conducted in the 23 districts of Punjab which includes Amritsar, Bathinda, Barnala, Faridkot, Fatehgarh Sahib, Fazilka, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Patiala, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Mansa, Moga, Shri Muktsar Sahib, SBS Nagar, Pathankot, SAS Nagar, Sangrur, Tarantaran, Chandigarh & other State and Kapurthala.

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), Chandigarh, was established to manage the curriculum taught in public schools along with conducting standardized examinations, teacher training, administration of scholarships, and publishing of textbooks. The Board currently has its head office at SAS Nagar (Mohali), near Chandigarh.
