    RITES Limited invited applications for A walk in interview for filling up the following vacant postions. The appointment shall be purely on contract basis initially for a period of one year, extendable until completion of the assignment subject to mutual consent and satisfactory performance. The place of posting would be Delhi or Mumbai. Reservations for SC, ST and OBC would be as per extant Government orders. RITES Limited(also known as Rail India Technical and Economic Service) is an engineering consultancy company, specializing in the field of transport infrastructure. Established in 1974 by the Government of India, the company's initial charter was to provide consultancy services in rail transport management to operators in India and abroad.

    Walk-in-Interviews Date & Venue: 07th December, 2013 (Saturday) from 10.00 hrs. onwards at RITES Ltd., RITES Bhawan, Plot No.1, Sector–29, (Near IFFCO Chowk) Gurgaon – 122001.

    Details of Posts
    1. Name of the Post: Assistant Manager-Transport Planning/Transportation Engineering.
        No. of Posts: 03 (Three).
        Upper Age As On 01.10.13: 35 Years.
    2. Name of the Post: Engineer-Transport Planning/Transportation Engineering.
        No. of Posts: 03 (Three).
        Upper Age As On 01.10.13: 30 Years.

    Educational Qualification

    The candidate must possess a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with First Division AND a Master’s Degree in Transport Planning/ Transportation Engineering or equivalent with First Division.  

    Post Qualification Experience

    For Assistant Manager:


    • Three years of Post - Essential Qualifications experience in the field of Transport Planning/ Traffic Engineering including Comprehensive traffic and transport studies, Integrated Multi modal public transport studies, Bus Transport Studies, Road Development Studies, short, medium and long term traffic engineering and management schemes for urban areas, etc. The candidate must be able to work on PCs and be well versed in standard transport planning/ traffic engineering software packages and able to plan and organize field traffic & O-D surveys, data compilation and analysis.
    • The experience must include one or more of the following:
      (i) Transport demand estimation & forecast, modal split & traffic assignment.
      (ii) Geometric design of various types of intersections.
      (iii) Traffic simulation signal designs and area management schemes by use of special purpose programmes and software packages.
      (iv) Design of flyovers/ grade separators planning and design in metropolitan areas.

    For Engineer:

    Desirable:
    • Experience in the field of Transport Planning/ Traffic Engineering including Comprehensive traffic and transport studies, Integrated Multi modal public transport studies, Bus Transport Studies, Road Development Studies, short, medium and long term traffic engineering and management schemes for urban areas, etc. The candidate must be able to work on PCs and be well versed in standard transport planning/ traffic engineering software packages and able to plan and organize field traffic & O-D surveys, data compilation and analysis.
    • Experience in one or more of the following is preferred:
    (i) Transport demand estimation & forecast, modal split & traffic assignment.

    (iv) Design of flyovers/ grade separators planning and design in metropolitan areas.

    Pay, Allowances and Perquisites:

    Basic Pay Rs. 13000/- with “No Experience Required” and Rs. 16600/- with “3 Years of Experience”, Allowances is 70% for Delhi & 75% for Mumbai and Other Perks like Medical & Accidental Insurance for self and Employer’s contribution towards PF @ 12% would be borne by the company.

    Selection Procedure

    The candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in written test/trade test/interviews, which might be conducted by the administration.
