RRB ALP Exam 2024: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) CBT 1 Exam is being conducted from November 25-29 in three shifts daily. As today is the last day of the CBT 1 examination, it is high time for candidates to learn about the next steps in the recruitment process. The RRB ALP CBT 1 is the first stage of the selection procedure, which is further followed by CBT 2, CBAT, Document Verification and Medical Examination. The CBT 1 examinations is conducted for screening purposes, and marks scored in this exam will be considered for shortlisting eligible candidates for the CBT 2 examination.
RRB ALP CBT 1 Exam Highlights
The RRB ALP CBT 1 is the first stage of the selection process for Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician posts. This computer-based test assesses a candidate's general awareness, reasoning ability, mathematics, and basic science skills.
The RRB ALP CBT 1 examination consists of subjects such as mathematics, mental ability, general science and general awareness. The candidates who clear this stage will be called for the CBT 2 examination. What’s Next: The CBT 2 Examination
The candidate who will clear the cutoff marks as decided by respective RRBs will now be called for the CBT 2 examination. The total number of candidates that will be shortlisted for the CBT 2 examination will be 15 times the total number of vacancies notified against each RRB. The CBT 2 examination will comprise of two parts, i.e., Part A and Part B. Check the details of CBT 2 exam pattern below
- The total duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes and the total questions asked will be 175.
- Part A will consist of 90 minutes and comprise 100 questions.
- Part B will consist of 60 minutes and comprise 75 questions.
- There will be negative marking 1/3 for marking the wrong answer.
- The minimum qualifying mark required to qualify in Part B is 35% (irrespective of category)
