SAIL, Invited Online Applications for 402 OCT Trainee Posts

    Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a Maharatna Company of Government of India, is India's largest producer of steel with an annual turnover of around Rs.50348 crore. It owns and operates 5 integrated steel plants at Rourkela, Bhilai, Durgapur, Bokaro and Burnpur and 3 special steel plants at Salem, Durgapur and Bhadravati.
    SAIL invited online applications for filling up 402 posts of Operator cum Technician (OCT) Trainees with its Bokaro Steel Plant. Interested eligible candidates can apply online till 28 March 2013.

    Training: Selected candidates will be required to undergo training for a period of two years which may be extended for another two years. On successful completion of training, they may be regularised as Operator-cum-Technician in S-3 grade.

    Pay: Fixed amount of Rs.10700 p.m. during 1st year and of Rs.12200 p.m. during 2nd year of training and in the Pay Scale of Rs.9160-3 %-13150 on confirmation.

    Selection Procedure:
    Candidates will be selected based on Written Test / Interview. Date, time and venue for Written Test / Interview will be intimated to eligible shortlisted candidates through e- mail / SMS / SAIL website . Candidates will be allowed to appear in the Written Test /Interview only if they possess the valid Photo Admit Card.

    The Admit Card will be available for download from the SAIL website www.sail.co.in.

    Documents of selected candidates will be verified during Interview and candidature of those found ineligible will be cancelled.
    Final selection of candidates is subject to being found medically fit by the Medical Officer of the Company.
    Since, all correspondence with the candidates --information regarding examination schedule / admit card / interview call letters etc. – will be provided through e-mail so candidates should provide correct e-mail ID in the application and check it regularly for any updates.

    Candidates can also themselves updated of the changes, if any, by visiting the SAIL website regularly.

    Application Fees: A non-refundable application fee of Rs.250 (for UR & OBC candidates) / Rs.50 as Processing fee (SC / ST / PH / Local Displaced Persons & BSL Departmental candidates) should be deposited in the any branch of SBI in a specially opened SBI Power Jyoti A/c No. 31877168126, maintained by SBI, Sector 4, B. S. City branch on behalf of SAIL/Bokaro Steel Plant, through a fee payment challan available for download on the Application Registration Portal.

    Candidates will also have to pay Bank Charges of Rs.20.

    On receipt of the money the concerned branch of SBI will issue a unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the branch collecting the money. This Journal Number and the Branch Code are to be filled up by the candidate during online registration.
    After applying online, candidate is required to download the system generated Pay-in slip/Registration Slip with unique registration number and other essential details.

    How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates can apply online through SAIL website till 3April 2013.
    For applying online, candidates should first select the job they want to apply for, fill in the attached online application form and submit it. On successful submission of the online application, a system generated Registration Number will appear on the screen. Candidates should note it and retain it for future use.

    Next, candidates should take a print out of the fee payment challan, deposit the fee and then re-login using the system generated Registration no. and fill in the payment details.

    After filling in all the information including payment details, candidates should take a print out of Registration Slip and retain it with them.

    Candidates can download their admit card, interview card etc by re-logging using the Registration No. and their Date of Birth.

    Candidates should retain their copy of Pay in Slip and Registration Slip for future reference.

    Candidates are not required to send any document to SAIL.
