Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a Maharatna Company of Government of India, is India's largest steel producer with an annual turnover of around Rs.50348 crore. It owns and operates 5 integrated steel plants at Rourkela, Bhilai, Durgapur, Bokaro and Burnpur and 3 special steel plants at Salem, Durgapur and Bhadravati.

SAIL invited online applications for filling up 54 posts of Manager with its Raw Materials Division (RMD), controlling unit of its captive mines, of its various mines. Interested eligible candidates can apply online till 14 February 2013.

Age will be reckoned as on 1 January 2013.
Age relaxations will be applicable as per rules. Relax able by 5 years for SC / ST & by 3 years for OBC candidates.

Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee of Rs.500 (for UR & OBC candidates) / Rs.100 as Processing fee (for SC / ST candidates) should be deposited in the any branch of SBI using Core Banking Facility along with Bank Charges of Rs.20. The amount must be remitted in the specially opened Account no. 32469839252 at SBI, CAG Branch, Kolkata, on behalf of SAIL / RMD through the fee payment challan available on the Application Registration Portal.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the written test and / or Interview.
Final selection will be subject to selected candidates being found medically fit by the company’s medical board.
Selected Candidates would be required to put in minimum 5 / 7 / 10 years’ service, as applicable, in RMD Mines before seeking transfer elsewhere in SAIL.
Candidates should have a valid e-mail ID and Mobile no. as all information regarding examination schedule / admit card / Interview call letters etc. shall be provided through email or on SAIL website.

Candidates will be allowed to appear in the Written Test / Interview only if they possess valid Admit Card. Candidates shortlisted for interview would be required to furnish original documents at the time of interview. Only original registration slip shall be accepted.

Travel Allowance: Outstation candidates called for Interview shall be reimbursed single to and fro rail fare to the extent of AC 3 Tier by shortest route on production of proof of journey performed.

How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates can apply online through SAIL website till 14 February 2013.
For applying online, candidates should first select the job they want to apply for, fill in the attached online application form and submit it. On successful submission of the online application, a system generated Registration Number will appear on the screen. Candidates should note it and retain it for future use.
Next, candidates should take a print out of the fee payment challan, deposit the fee and then re-login using the system generated Registration no. and fill in the payment details.
After filling in all the information including payment details, candidates should take a print out of Registration Slip and retain it with them.
Candidates can download their admit card, interview card etc by re-logging using the Registration No. and their Date of Birth.
