Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) has announced exam dates for Scholarship Olympiads conducted for students from Class 1st to Class 12th. The students who want to appear in SOF Olympiads can register themselves with online application for SOF exams available at their schools. For participating in the Olympiads, the schools have to register themselves in online mode for Science Olympiad Foundation, and then get the downloadable the application form for SOF Olympiads. The students can get SOF application form from school and register for the olympiads. SOF does not accept individual application forms from students for participating in the olympiads.
Key Features of SOF Olympiads –
- The students are awarded cash prizes/scholarships, Medals and Certificate of Performance Recognition.
- For every SOF Olympiad, at least 5 students should participate from the registered schools.
- There is no registration fee for School’s registration and the school will become an exam centre for SOF Olympiad. Though, the students taking part in the SOF Olympiads have to pay a nominal fee for registration.
- There are multiple dates for each SOF Olympiad and the participating school can select their convenient date for conducting the Olympiads from the specified dates.
- Though the dates may be same for conducting SOF Olympiad of all classes, the syllabus and question paper is different.
- The test papers are based on syllabus prescribed by CBSE, ICSE and State Education Board only.

National Cyber Olympiad (NCO):
The National Cyber Olympiad conducted by SOF for students who are academically good in Computer Science subject. The SOF NCO is conducted at the participating schools itself and in paper-based test mode only during the school timings. Know more about SOF NCO as mentioned below –

Exam Duration – 60 minutes
Test Medium – English only
Type of Questions – Objective type questions
Number of Questions – For class 1st to 4th, there are 35 MCQs and for Class 5th to Class 12th, there are 50 MCQs.
Subjects – There are three sections in the question paper of SOF Cyber Olympiad i.e. Section 1: Logical Reasoning, Section 2: Computers and Information Technology and Section 3: Achievers Section
National Science Olympiad (NSO):
The Science Olympiad by SOF is conducted in two levels for Class 1st to Class 12th students. The level 1 exam of SOF Science Olympiad is conducted at Schools for Class 1st to Class 12th and Level 2 is conducted for students studying in Class 3rd to Class 12th for and will include -
- Top 5% students who participated and qualified level 1
- Top 25 rank holders class-wise and zone-wise
- Toppers from the classes, where at least 10 students participated in the exam and scored 50% marks in the exam

Test Medium – English only
