SOF International General Knowledge Olympiad 2018
Science Olympiad Foundation will be conducting International General Knowledge Olympiad 2018 on September 11 and 25, 2018. Students studying in Class 1st to 10th can check here exam dates, eligibility and exam pattern.

International General Knowledge Olympiad is conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) for students studying in Class 1st to 10th. The GK Olympiad by SOF is conducted to examine students for their General Awareness as per their level. Students who wish to participate in SOF International General Knowledge Olympiad 2018 can apply with help of their school only i.e. the school must be registered with SOF to participate in the Olympiads. IGKO 2018 Eligibility Criteria:
- Students studying in Class 1st to Class 10th are eligible for SOF IGKO 2018
- There is no minimum marks eligibility for appearing in IGKO 2018
IGKO 2018 Registration:
- The schools interesting in representing their students for providing them with an opportunity to acknowledge their talent can register with Science Olympiad Foundation for participating in the Olympiads.
- The SOF registration form 2018 is available on the official website in .pdf format for download and Schools need to fill it and submit at the official address by post.
- The participating schools can fill the registration form of SOF 2018 mentioning participating students’ data along with the fee of Rs. 125 per student.
- There should be at least 10 students from each participating school as Schools with less than 10 participating students are not eligible

IGKO 2018 Selection Criteria:
As IGKO is a single level examination, therefore, the selection of students for awarding scholarships will be as under –
- Marks scored by students in International General Knowledge Olympiad 2018
- In case there are ties in marks of two or more students, then their ranks will be decided on the basis of marks scored in sections as under –
- Higher marks in Achievers section, if the tie in marks still exists, then
- Higher marks in General Awareness, if the tie still exists
- Higher marks in Current Affairs
- If tie in marks still exists, then higher marks of student in their previous class will be taken in to consideration i.e. If tie is there for Class 8th IGKO then marks of Class 7 annual examinations will be considered to resolve the tie
- If even after this the tie exists, then the students having tie in marks will be given same rank.
IGKO 2018 Rewards:
Students participating in SOF Olympiads will be rewarded at different levels as under –

Medals: All class toppers will be awarded Medals for qualifying IGKO 2018 as per the below mentioned criteria –
- Top 3 students will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medal respectively (where 10 or more students from a class (1st to 10th all sections) appeared for IGKO 2018)
- Topper student will be awarded Gold medal (if only 5 to 9 students from a class including students from all sections appeared for IGKO 2018 )
- Top 3 students will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medal respectively from each section of a class if more than 25 students appear for IGKO 2018 for the class level.
All students will be given Participation Certification for appearing in IGKO 2018 by SOF.
