SOVTECH Andaman & Nicobar Islands notified recruitment for Administrative & Engineer posts 2013

Society for Promotion of Vocational and Technical Education (SOVTECH), Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Port Blair invited application for recruitment to the post of Administrative Officer, Administrative Assistant, Senior Network Engineer and Network Engineer. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 29 November 2013. The Society for Promotion of Vocational and Technical Education (SOVTECH), Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Port Blair is a registered Society and the State designated Nodal Agency for implementation of the various project under National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) in A&N Islands, on behalf of Andaman & Nicobar Administration.

Age Limit

• Candidate maximum age should be 62 years as on 1 November 2013 for Administrative Officer.
• Candidate maximum age should be 35 years as on 1 November 2013 for Administrative Assistant, Senior Network Engineer and Network Engineer.

Educational Qualification

• Administrative Officer: Candidate should be Graduate in any discipline with 20 years experience in the Administrative setup.
• Administrative Assistant: Candidate should be 12^th passed with 1 year Diploma in Computers.
• Senior Network Engineer: Candidate should be B.E/ B. Tech in CSE or ECE or IT or EEE with 2 years experience in IT or Telecom Sector.
• Network Engineer: Candidate should be B.E/ B. Tech in CSE or ECE or IT or EEE OR 3 year diploma or BCA.

Pay Scale

• Administrative Officer: Rs.32500/- per month
• Administrative Assistant: Rs.16000/- per month
• Senior Network Engineer: Rs.32500/- per month
• Network Engineer: Rs.20000/- per month for stations in North, Middle & South Andaman and Rs.21000/- per month for stations in Little Andaman & Nicobar.

Selection Process

Selection will be made on the basis of performance in written test, Data Entry Test and Viva Voce/ Personal Interview.

• Andaman & Nicobar Islands Candidates are required to apply online through www.erecruitment.andaman.gov.in from any eDweep Kendra (Common Service Centre)/ TVET Centre by Paying Charge of Rs. 20/- per Application and Rs.2/- per Page for Scanning and uploading the documents.  After Filling Application Candidates will be required to get their original certificates verified from SOVTECH Office.
• Candidates from other parts of the country may apply through prescribed application format as given in notification.
