Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will soon release Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2017 notification. If reports are to be believed, the Commission will release SC CGL Exam 2017 Notification on 11 March 2017. Aspiring candidates can apply for the examination by 15 April 2017. SSC CGL 2017 Important Dates
• Opening Date of Registration: 11 March 2017
• Closing Date of Online Registration: 15 April 2017
• Exam Date of CGL 2017 Tier – I : 19 June to 2 July 2017

SSC CGL 2017 Exam Pattern
Exam pattern of the exam consists of written examination followed by Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test and document verification. The examination is held in three tiers – Tier I, Tier II and Tier III. As per the notice, SSC CGL Tier I examination will be held from 19 June 2017 to 02 July 2017.Tier I and Tier II examination will be the written examination containing objective multiple choice type questions. The subjects included in the written examination are General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. Tier III examination is the Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test that candidates need to appear if qualified in Tier I and Tier II. Lastly, Document Verification is also done for final appointment of candidates. The Commission has decreased the number of questions in CGL Tier I examination from 200 to 100 and the time allotted to answer these questions is 75 minutes. The Commission will not conduct any interview for CGL examination. The appointment of the candidates will be done on merit basis.

The Selection Procedure of SSC CGL Examination 2017 will comprise of the marks attained in the Written Examination/ Online Objective Test which is also known as (CBT) Computer Based Test followed by Descriptive Test as well as Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) and for Skill Test.
