SSC JE Vacancy 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the tentative vacancy details for the Junior Engineer (JE) Examination 2026. The commission has already closed the online application process for SSC JE Exam 2026 and the Paper 1 exam will be conducted from November 2 to  November 6, 2026. In the official notification for SSC JE Exam a total of 1748 vacancies were announced. The detailed branch-wise vacancies have been released now. As per the official circular a total of 1699 vacancies are available across different departments and posts. The vacancies include posts related to Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and other engineering streams, along with the Scientific Assistant (SA) post in the India Meteorological Department. The tentative vacancies have been released with a detailed breakup of posts, departments and categories. The vacancies are distributed among SC, ST, OBC, EWS and UR categories.

• Central Water Commission

• Central Public Works Department (CPWD)

• Central Water Power Research Station

• DGQA-NAVAL, Ministry of Defence

• Military Engineer Service (MES)

• Directorate General of Light Houses and Lightships

• Department of Telecommunication

• India Meteorological Department

• Brahmaputra Board

The Border Roads Organization has vacancies for JE (Civil) and JE (E&M), while CPWD has vacancies for JE (Electrical) and JE (Civil). MES has also reported vacancies for JE (Civil) and JE (E&M).
