Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) invites applications from interested and eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts mentioned below in Tamil Nadu Fisheries Subordinate Service for the year 2012

• Inspector of Fisheries: 24 vacancies
• Research Assistant: 12 vacancies

• Last date for submission of applications: 3 August 2012
• Last date for payment of Fee through Bank or Post Office: 7 August 2012
• Date of Written examination: 22 September 2012 (10 am to 1 pm)

Eligibility Criteria for Recruitment in TNPSC

Educational Qualification: The candidate must possess a Degree in Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc) or its equivalent degree of any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grants OR the Associate Diploma in Fisheries Science of the Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Bombay OR MSc Degree with Zoology/ Marine Biology as Main Subject

Age Limit (as on 1 July 2012): Minimum 18 years; Maximum 30 years

Selection Procedure for Recruitment in TNPSC

The candidates will be selected on the basis of the Written Test followed by an Interview/ Oral Test. The candidates then selected for appointment to the posts will be required to produce a certificate of physical fitness

Application Fee: Rs 150 (Rs 100 for Examination Fee + Rs 50 for Application Fee)

The candidates can deposit the Fee through both Offline and Online Mode as mentioned on the website.

Note: Candidates claiming exemption from examination fee should pay Rs 50 towards Application Cost
