Tata Memorial Centre, the national comprehensive cancer centre for the prevention, treatment, education and research in Cancer, has invited applications for admission to its Advanced Diploma Courses in Medical Imaging Technology and Radiotherapy Technology. Name of the Courses:
- Advanced Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology – This is a comprehensive course with fulltime schedule of lectures, demonstrations, practical and clinical experience in the delivery of Imaging Technology. The course is designed to develop personnel to use modern Radiology equipments like Xray, CT scan, MRI, Sonography, Mammography, & Cathlab Machines in hospital.
- Advanced Diploma in Radiotherapy Technology -- This is a comprehensive course with fulltime schedule of lectures, demonstrations, practical and clinical experience in the delivery of Radiation therapy. The course is designed to develop personnel to use modern Radiotherapy equipments like Cobalt Units, Linear Accelerators, Simulators, Brachytherapy systems and Mouldroom facilities in cancer treatment.
Duration: 2 Years + (01 year In-service Bond Mandatory)
Fees: Rs.14, 000/ will be charged per year.
Stipend: A Stipend of Rs. 7500/‐ pm will be paid to non-sponsored candidates during the training. After successful completion of the training, they will be required to execute a Bond to serve the Tata Memorial Centre for a period of 1 year on remuneration of Rs. 15000/‐ p.m.
National candidate sponsored from Cancer Centres / Hospitals for training will not be paid any stipend or will not need to honour a bond.
Age Limit: Between 20 and 25 years. Relaxable by 5 years for SC / ST and 3 years for OBC candidates
Educational Qualification: For Advanced Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology, the candidates must have passed any B.Sc or B.Pharm. And, for Radiotherapy Technology course, candidates should passed B.Sc. with 50% Marks aggregate (not less than 55% marks in Physics.)
Selection will be based on the evaluation which comprises of performance in the interview and the marks obtained in entrance examination.
