The Telangana Government has announced that the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) will now be conducted prior to the District Selection Committee (DSC) examination. This decision follows a notification issued by the state government last month, with the aim of recruiting over 11,062 teachers through the DSC examination system. As clearing the TET exam is compulsory to become eligible for the DSC exam, candidates had requested the government to reconduct the TS TET.
Responding to these demands, the state government has instructed education department officials to conduct the TET again. "The Commissioner of School Education has been directed to conduct the TET at the earliest. The government's recent decision brings significant relief to more than three lakh candidates," stated the Telangana CMO in an official statement.

The TS TET exam was last conducted in September 2023. It is a state-level exam which is conducted to assess candidates' eligibility for teaching roles from Classes 1 to 8. According to the official notification, the Telangana TET notification will be released on March 27. Along with it, the officials will activate the apply online link. Candidates can complete their TET application form by visiting the official website from March 27 to April 10, 2024.
TS TET consists of two levels: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is designed for candidates aspiring to teach classes ranging from 1 to 5, while Paper 2 is tailored for those aiming to teach classes from 6 to 8.

TS TET Exam Date
The officials have announced TS TET Exam Date along with the official notification. Going by it, the TS TET 2024 exam will be held from May 20 to June 3, 2024.
