The state government of Odisha has approved of starting various MBA courses covering general, specialized and global streams in the newly established Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB). It also permitted the college to launch PhD programs from the next academic session onward.
As informed by the sources the Xavier University shall provide numerous programs and courses on offer such as rural management, human resource management, five-year integrated commerce as well as PhD programs.
These new courses are to be set about from the new academic session in June 2014.
120 seats each are planned for Management courses covering rural management and human resource management. Whereas, integrated commerce course is to have 240 seats on offer. The PhD programs have 60 seats.
As told by a senior officer of the XIMB - Bhubaneswar, the University has an intake capacity of 5,000 students and 400 above faculty members.
This new campus is located in Kurki and occupies 35 acres land. The campus is 12 km far from the Bhubaneswar airport. The campus is still in its development state and will get ready by the next academic session.
