Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will hold a Combined All India Open Examination for recruitment to the posts of Data Entry Operator (DEO) and Lower Division Clerk (LDC) on 4 December 2011. Since only few days are left for the SSC Higher Secondary Level written exam for recruitment in various departments and offices under the Government of India, has enlisted a few tips for the aspirants to achieve success in the exam.

Be Determined: The need to win and succeed in competitive examination must be high. The candidate must keep his/ her level of motivation up without panicking about the level of preparation. This will help you stay determined to give best efforts not only through your preparation but also at the time of writing the exam.

Start Revising: Start revising whatever you have studied till date instead of learning new topic. The revision exercise will not make you will feel confident about your preparation and this mounting confidence level will work magic to speed up study process and in the examination hall.

Give Mock Tests: ‘Practice maketh a man perfect'- the proverb seems fit in every exam if you practice well as it will help you judge your preparation. Mock papers will help you determine difficult areas that need revision and help you increase speed in solving the paper.

Healthy Diet: Never skip breakfast since it is an important meal of the day. Pay attention on fruits as they are healthy and are a good source of nutrition. Avoid oily food or liquids which contain caffeine or chocolate three hours before sleeping.

Take Proper Rest: Have sufficient sleep; a tired brain cannot work productively. Try to sleep at fixed time and sleep for atleast 7 to 8 hours a day during your preparation. This will help prevent fatigue and loss of valuable information in the long run. Try to reduce rigorous study schedule atleast a week prior to the exam.

Realise that it just an exam and not an end to your life. Understand that we all get anxious at times and hence you should not shut doors to the outer world. Talk to family members and meet friends to freshen up and reduce unnecessary stress levels.
