Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission issued notification for Direct recruitment to 1064 vacancies with various departments included in Combined Civil Services Examination–II. The vacancies are Group-II Services with Service Code No.004 and these are Interview Posts. Interested candidates should apply Online till 4 October 2013.

Note: Candidates not belonging to SC / SC (A) / ST / MBC / DC / BC (Other than BCM) / BCM (i.e. others) who have put in 5 years of service in the State / Central Government are not eligible to apply even though they are within the age limit.
Educational Qualifications: refer notification,
Knowledge of Tamil: Candidates should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil.
Selection Procedure: Selection will be done in three successive stages
(i) Preliminary Examination
(ii) Main Written Examination and
(iii) Oral Test

Option for post preference will be obtained from the candidates at the time of Oral Test.
Candidates selected for appointment will be required to produce a certificate of physical fitness.
Candidates with defective vision should produce eye fitness certificate from qualified eye Specialist.
Examination Centers: The Preliminary Examination will be held at the multiple Centers in 32 cities.
The Main Written Examination will be held at following 8 centers: Chennai (Centre Code 0100), Chidambaram (Centre Code 0302), Coimbatore (Centre Code 0200), Madurai (Centre Code 1000), Salem (Centre Code 1701), Thanjavur (Centre Code 1901), Tiruchirappalli (Centre Code 2501) and Tirunelveli (Centre Code 2601).
Fees
For Preliminary Examination: Rs. 125 (Rs. 75 -- Examination Fee + Rs. 50 -- Cost of Application)
For Main Written Examination: Rs. 100
1) Candidates who wish to pay fees through the online payment gateway should visit the additional online fee payment page of the application form and fill in the requisite details to make payment and submit it. On successful
Completion of the online transaction, a Registration Number and Password will be generated. Candidates should note the Application Number and Password for future reference in respect of the post applied for.
2) For offline mode of payment, candidates should fill in the online application form -- select Post Office / Indian Bank in the fee details options -- and submit it. On successful submission of the form, system would generate along with Application Number and password, a fee payment challan. Candidates are required to note down the Application Number and password and take a print out of the challan, and go to the nearest branch of Indian bank or the Designated Post Offices, to make the payment. After depositing the fee, candidate should collect the candidate’s copy of the fee payment challan bearing details of Transaction Number, Branch Name DP Code Number and Deposit Date and retain it for future use.
Online Application Registration will be taken as successful one, only if the payment is made either in the post office or in the Indian Bank within two working days from the date of registration/submission of application.
A One-time Registration fee of Rs.50 has to be paid by new candidates. Those, who have already registered in the one-time registration system and paid the registration fee, should pay only examination fee. An applicant with a valid registration ID need not pay the application fee for a period of 5 years from the date of registration even if he applies for any other posts, subsequently notified by the Commission.
Candidates claiming exemption from examination fee will have to pay Rs.50 as Application cost. There is no exemption for cost of Application. Candidates have also to pay the service charges applicable to the Bank or Post Office or Fee Processing Agency.
How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates should apply online through Commission’s Websites www.tnpsc.gov.in or www.tnpscexams.net by selecting the name of the post or service for which they wish to apply for, till 4 October 2013 till (2359 hours), after which the link will be disabled..
There is a provision to modify the submitted Online Application. Candidates are requested to make use of this facility to correct their details in the Online Application if any till last date of submission. Request for change / correction in the Application Form will not be allowed after the last date specified for applying online
Candidates should have a valid active e-mail ID as TNPSC will send Hall Tickets (Memorandum of Admission) for Preliminary Examination, Main Written Examination, Interview Call Letters, other memos etc. to the registered e-mail ID only.
Eligible candidates can download their Hall Tickets from the Commission’s Website www.tnpsc.gov.in or www.tnpscexams.net. No Hall Tickets will be sent by post.
Candidates who wish to receive SMS should register their mobile number in the application.
After submitting the application, candidates should print /save their application in PDF format for future reference.
