The examinations for Civil Services are divided into three parts.

3. Company Secretary (CS)

Section 383 A of the Companies Act, 1956 requires that any company with a paid up capital of Rs. 50 lakh or more will have to appoint a whole time Company Secretary (CS) who is a member of the Institute of Company Secretary of India (ICSI). This has made Company Secretary a vital position in the corporate world.
CS is the fundamental link between the company and the government and has been recognised by various enactments as one of the principal officers of the company.
