All India Management Association (AIMA) launched a new recruitment tool by the name of Management Aptitude and Skills test (MAST) which can be conducted in campus via which companies can hire the right candidates and management students can get the right offers. It was conducted for the first time in the year 2010 at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar.
It is a computer adaptive test which assesses the students on psychometric profile, general aptitude and domain knowledge. This essentially helps the employers in short listing the aspirants with the right skills.
As the MAST score gives weightage to the psychometric profile, general aptitude and the domain knowledge of a candidate, it helps the employers to judge the candidate easily. Thus marks attained by the students convey the competency level of the aspirants to the employers. Therefore, MAST score is an important deciding factor for recruiters.
