The University Grant Commission (UGC) conducted the National Eligibility Test (UGC NET/ JRF) for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship in June 2010. The Paper I General Paper (Teaching & Research Aptitude) consists of 60 of which 50 questions are to be attempted (50x2 = 100 in 1¼ Hours). From June 2012 onwards, both the papers (Paper II and Paper III) will be conducted in objective mode wherein the number of questions allotted to each section is 50 and 75 respectively (all compulsory).
