UGC panel sets up to keep check on DU’s 4-year degree

Academic section has objected to the latest 4-degree course offered by Delhi University, hence in order to monitor progress of the course Union Grant Commission has set up a panel.

Academic section has objected to the latest 4-degree course offered by Delhi University, hence in order to monitor progress of the course Union Grant Commission has set up a panel. S K Joshi, eminent scientist and member of the UGC will be the head of this panel.

Some people who are not in the favor of this latest program are not happy with the decision however Dinesh Singh, the DU vice - chancellor said that he like the reforms made. This will help students to grab the quality education. HRD Ministry thought that the course needs a monitoring mechanism for consistent progress of the course.

Along with a former director general Council for Scientific & Industrial Research, S K Joshi other members of the panel are  Mrinal Miri, Indian Council for Philosophical Research’s  chairperson and member of Rajya Sabha, Bhuvan Chandel, a former director of Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Shimla, S Parsuraman, Director of TISS and V S Chauhan, member of UGC and Director of the International Centre for Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology
