UGC Teacher Reservation Policy Clarified by DUTA

    The Delhi University Teachers’ Association is not against for the reservation policy of the University Grants Commission implemented by the administration. However they are annoyed over the setback in implementation along with the irresponsible behavior of the university as it recommended to first advertise the available vacancies to apply the policy.
    Abha Dev Habib, Executive Council member said that “the MHRD ordered the university to obey with the 200-point roster and to apply the UGC guidelines of 2006. For the past two years, this is an important demand raised by the DUTA.” She added that DUTA is searching to clear the confusion that few teachers had about their stand.
    She further clarify that they are against the irresponsible that the university is following to apply the policy as per the Registrar's letter makes reference to Office Memorandums issued by the MHRD dated 25 June and by the UGC dated 13 May 2013, in this regard.
