However, the budget for the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has seen a slight reduction, from ₹918.27 crore in FY 2024-25 to ₹900 crore for FY 2025-26. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has seen a decrease in its allocation to ₹200 crore, compared to ₹400 crore last year. Support for Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) has been increased to ₹251.89 crore, up from ₹212.21 crore.

Additionally, various central sector schemes, including the National Research Professors, World-Class Institutions, Prime Minister’s Girls’ Hostel, and the Indian Knowledge Systems, have received a total outlay of ₹528.36 crore for FY 2025-26.
